I took the time to sit down with my family so we can make a plan that says what we do in case of a natural disaster like an Earthquake. Part of the plan is to construct an emergency kit, yet at the current we cannot afford to buy everything we need. The kit will include water, one gallon of water per person, per day, non-perishable food, radio, weather radio, flashlights, extra batteries, first aid kit, whistle, dusk masks, plastic sheeting, duck tape, moist towelettes, garbage bags, plastic ties, a wrench, can opener, and a map. Even though I do not have the items, but I still managed to make a video of what is needed. All of the things that I listed are stored in boxes that are located in my garage.
If the Earthquake was to happen on a week day, then I would most likely be at school. The school will either notify my parent, but they would already know that they have to come and get me. Then we would go to our meeting place, which is my house. If I was the weekend then I would have already been home. My aunt would also meet us at my house. In total there should be an ideal number of 10 people. My job would then be to close the gas valve and turn off power in the fuse box for my house. We would then all gather around to make sure that everything is okay and so that we calm down. Final step is to stay close to the radio to be aware of any updates about the situation of the event.
